Area from Street Fighter

This is a cosplay that is just in the pipeline at the moment (considering it for somepoint in the future), but I am hoping to hear from people who have made or a going to make an Area costume.
Hints, tips, problems, solutions?

What an obscure character idea. :O I've never even seen it done. You might also want to post pictures of the character for those that aren't familiar.

I think the biggest issues with Area are the gigantic shoes and the skintight-ness of the outfit. Er, and the arm. Do you have any experience with sewing spandex? ^_^;

Thanks for the suggestion. I've no experience with spandex yet, but will learn. The odd shapes requiring to be joined are going to be tricky to get right (ie the breast detail).

I love the character and thought that if there are some people who have done the costume before, they are probably on this forum.
If I do make it, I will be trying to get the skates to actually work _and_ be lockable so that I don't go flying everywhere. And have the arm thing such that my arm can lift it.

I've found a course that teaches sewing stretch fabrics.. it's like 2 months away

I would still like to hear from anyone who has made or attempted this costume, or are planning to at some point.
